Historic Downtown Springfield was designated as a "Transforming Downtown" by the State of Oregon's Main Street Program in October of 2010. Since then, an organization has been formed under the National Trust for Historic Preservation's model for downtown revitalization to restore Downtown Springfield to the thriving heart of the city that it truly is. The program is centered around a structured approach including the four points of organization, design, promotion, and economic restructuring.

Downtown Springfield's Main Street program is a program of NEDCO (Neighborhood Economic Development Corporation) and is an effort of downtown merchants and community members. Thanks to all of our supporters and volunteers for believing in Downtown Springfield and helping to establish this program in its early stages!
