Interested in Bike Touring the beautiful Oregon Coast – or anywhere else for that matter? Bike Touring 101 and Beyond – a May is Bike Month event on Monday, May 6 at 6pm in the Springfield Public Library– will give you tips and tricks on Bike Touring! Presented by the City of Springfield, Springfield Public Library and Greater Eugene Area Riders (GEARs), the event will include bike displays put together by local bike touring experts, local bike organizations and a presentation on bike touring the Oregon Coast.

Bike Touring 101 and Beyond is part of the regional May is Bike Month celebrations. National Bike Month has been celebrated since 1956 and Springfield has participated since 2014. Bike Month is designed to showcase the many benefits of bicycling and to encourage more folks to give biking a try.
