Build a fantasy world of your own with this hands-on workshop!  Fantasy Writing: Build a World, Create a Legend offers all participants the opportunity to build a unique fantasy world and create a legend based on real life issues.  You will be creating and confronting monsters, finding allies, discovering mentors, overcoming obstacles, and discovering transformative solutions to your own personal legends.  Bring your imagination and an open heart and let’s begin! Attendees are welcome to bring pens, markers, and colored pencils to help with their creation process.

Instructor Rachael Pruitt is an award-winning author, teacher, and storyteller with a passion for empowering creativity—both inside and outside of the traditional classroom.  Her work in fantasy-writing and teaching has garnered praise by the Smithsonian Institute as “not simply enrichment, but an example of the way we should be teaching our young people”.

Each month, the Springfield Public Library hosts a free writing workshop for the public, presented by Wordcrafters in Eugene. All are welcome to join the free writing workshops. Adult library events are made possible by a sponsorship from the Springfield Public Library Foundation.

All events are free and open to the public.
